5Aspen Learning Update

Central idea: People with different beliefs may struggle for rights and freedoms.

This week, we have begun our extended abstract line of inquiry focused on the impact of beliefs on rights and freedoms. To demonstrate our understanding of this and all we have studied so far, we have begun creating a non-chronological report on beliefs, rights and freedoms. We've planned our different sections and have begun writing (including considering how beliefs impact laws) and next week, we will be using our writing to create a presentation booklet about beliefs, rights and freedoms.

In maths, we have developed our skills of addition and subtraction, focusing on the correct language, using the written column methods and considering how the inverse can be used to support our confidence in accurate answers.
