Writing lists for survival when stranded on a desert island. What do we need to survive?

In our science learning, the children have been considering the needs of humans for survival. We had an interesting lesson, stranded on desert islands and making our lists of essential needs to stay alive. Somehow, crabs and dolphins made the list, but we soon realised that we could survive without them.

In maths, we have been comparing and ordering objects and numbers using our knowledge of place value to help us. We have also begun to count in steps of 2, 5 and 10 - please have fun with this at home, in the car and when you are out and about.

Please can you remind the children that Ocarinas should be brought into school every day. We are practising daily so that we can perfect our 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' performance and without their Ocarina the children cannot participate. Thank you for your support.
