Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

Pastel silhouettes - can you recognise your child?

Children enjoyed rolling a real canon ball.

The highlight of our week was a visit to the Heritage Centre at Marden Library, where we inquired into how the Marden Community has changed over the years. We also considered how events and celebrations which we share in the village today help us to belong as a community. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged in learning from local maps, photographs, posters and artefacts as well as rich conversations with the History Society volunteers. Thank you to our parents who made the trip possible - Sequoia will be going to the library next Wednesday 12th if you are able to volunteer, please contact the office.

In maths, we have been comparing and ordering objects and numbers using our knowledge of place value to help us. We have also begun to count in steps of 2, 5 and 10 - please have fun with this at home, in the car and when you are out and about.

Please could I ask that PE kits are brought into school on a Monday. They can be left in school during the week in case they are needed again.
