2D Learning Update

Central idea: Human behaviour can affect the survival of our planet.

This week, we began our third line of inquiry in which we have explored conservation efforts to protect our planet. We noted there is a range of things we could do, including planting more trees, using less electricity and recycling. We wrote persuasive letters to people in power to try and persuade them to do all they can to help our planet. Since this, we have started a project in groups where we are going to show all our learning from this inquiry and what we now know in relation to our central idea!

In maths, we have carried on focusing on the language of position and direction, applying it to different contexts and problems. We also have looked at a new story by Rudyard Kipling in our reading session, "How The Whale Got His Throat".

Next week, we will be exploring our body parts as part of the statutory RSE curriculum. Your child may come home and want to discuss the correct anatomical names so please engage with them on this.
