TEA Curriculum Requirements for Graduation

Distinguised



Students may earn a Distinguished Level of Achievement by successfully completing all of the following:

  • A total of 4 credit hours in Math including Algebra II

  • A total of 4 credit hours in Science

  • Completion of curriculum requirements for at least one endorsement

  • This is the reccomended plan if you want to attend a 4 year university.


Foundation with endorsements


  • A 22-credit foundation program which is the core of the new Texas high school diploma

  • Five endorsement options that allow students to focus on a related series of courses

All students are by default placed into an endorsement plan. A student and their parent may not declare a Foundation only plan until after the Sophomore year.

  • Students and families must meet with their school counselor for a conference to review requirements and sign TEA form for compliance.

Note - Scholars must pass all 5 EOC’s, Maintaining 90% or better attendance in all classes in order to graduate.

This is in addition to the graduation requirements mentioned above.
