Ode means, "ceremonious poem on an occasion of public or private dignity in which personal emotion and general meditation are united.""The Greek word ōdē, which has been accepted in most modern European languages, meant a choric song, usually accompanied by a dance."(Ode), from Encyclopedia Britannica.
Here, we can divide into three types of ode they are;
Epode, which means, "a rhythmic system composed of two or more lines repeated as a unit,or three-part, structure (strophic lines followed by antistrophic lines in the same metre, concluding with a summary line." (Ode)
Pindar Ode, which means "In a different metre, that characterizes the odes of Pindar." (Ode)
Horatian ode, which emans "short lyric poem written in stanzas of two or four lines in the manner." (Horatian Ode)
We can find example of Pindar ode as Ode To Aphrodite, which is written by Sappho in Greece.
Here is this poet.
"Deathless Aphrodite, throned in flowers,

Hear anew the voice! O hear and listen!
Come, as in that island dawn thou camest,
Billowing in thy yoked car to Sappho
Forth from thy father's
Golden house in pity! ... " (Examples of Odes in Poetry)
