February is a month filled with kindness, appreciation, and friendship. Team 6A would like to acknowledge two student leaders with these characteristics in mind- Alex Gallardo and Harper Sackin. Alex is a happy member of the classroom who is often seen with a smile. His positive attitude is contagious, spreading kindness like Valentine’s candy hearts. Always ready to lend a helping hand to his friends and teachers, Alex’s thoughtfulness is a true reminder of all that February celebrates. Harper is an enthusiastic and hardworking student who pours her heart into everything she does. Like the spirit of Valentine’s Day, she is always motivated to do her best and uplift those around her. Whether she’s supporting a friend or assisting a teacher, Harper’s dedication and kindness shine, making the classroom a better place to be! Way to go Alex & Harper!
Team 6B is proud to announce our February Leaders of the Month for the category of Diversity: Liam Matthews and Alara Tufan! Liam and Alara celebrate and embrace the unique qualities that make everyone in our community special. They show respect for different perspectives, encourage inclusivity, and help create an environment where everyone feels valued. Liam and Alara’s actions demonstrate the importance of appreciating and learning from our differences. Your teachers are so proud of you both—congratulations!
February is SHORT, COLD and the only major holiday is Valentine's Day ... but it's still a favorite month for team 7A. We love, love LOVE the work ethic we've seen from both Alexia Aizpun Morales and Carina Reddy. Carina and Alexia put forth whole-hearted effort into everything they do, and they embrace new tasks with an up-beat, can-do attitude. Their sharp insights in class get to the heart of any issue being discussed, and we are so impressed with their work. Way to go, Alexia & Carina!
Despite the Frosty February weather we’ve had, Team 7B wants to celebrate the warm demeanor and respect that Charlotte Patella and Dimitrios Karounis have for their peers’ opinions, ideas, and feelings in their classes. Both diligent workers, Charlotte and Dimitrios consistently make others feel welcome during group work and are positive influences on others. Always ready to lend a hand, their teachers can count on her positive upbeat attitude! Team 7B enthusiastically congratulates these shining stars!
This month, we’re celebrating two outstanding students who exemplify leadership in their own unique ways! Gabe Farough is quiet, but his engagement speaks volumes! He is always focused, dedicated to his work, and brings a calm, steady presence to the classroom. Lily Aromando lights up the room with her positive attitude! She’s always ready to participate, encourage others, and collaborate with anyone.
Way to go, Gabe and Lily! Keep leading by example!
As team 8B’s first February Leader of the Month, Lavinia Everett is the mastermind behind the most sought after notebook in the eighth grade. Described as a “thing of beauty” it reflects her organization and attention to detail which is just one reason for her academic success. Lavinia's talents, however, extend beyond her organizational feats. She's a disciplined and hardworking student who consistently knocks it out of the park with her high achievements.
Our second Leader of the Month is also an artist. Little does Cailyn Cheng know, but her artwork has been collected secretly throughout the year in anticipation of one day being worth millions. Mr. Reeb is banking that her Cat’s with dialogue bubbles written on the back of math tests will be very valuable someday. But Cailyn's talents don't stop at art either. She's a quiet achiever who consistently impresses with her discipline and high grades. And let's not forget her organizational skills—she's got it all together!
Congratulations to both of you!
In STEAM one of the most important characteristics an engineer can have is being a supportive team member and working to solve problems you encounter along the way. Kailey Vuong regularly leads by example and works hard to include all people in a friendly manner. Kailey quickly learns new tools, skills and programs. Most importantly Kailey is willing to assist others when they are struggling. Great job Kailey!
A great artist is always open to feedback and suggestions. A great artist is kind to others and never stops improving their work. Heidi Oosterhouse is a responsible student and wonderful artist. Her artwork showcases attention to detail and she is always friendly and respectful to her peers when giving them suggestions for improvement. Congratulations Heidi!
