Team 6A is ecstatic to declare that Grace Ferraiolo and Gavin Ott are the Leaders of the Month for September.  They are both responsible, motivated, and passionate students who come to school every day with a great attitude, are always ready to learn, have a dedication to going above and beyond, and have earned the trust of their peers and teachers.  They were selected as LOM for September because of the leadership skills they have exhibited over the past month of school.  They helped out some new students to MJS this year without being asked and were also caught being upstanders in a few situations.   Their kindness, leadership, and TEAM first mentality are an inspiration to Team 6A fitting the definition of being a leader.

It’s going to be a fantastic year! We have so many great candidates for Leaders of the Month, and it was difficult to  narrow the list. However, 2 nominees did stand out.   Congratulations to Merit Santana Rodriguez and Zuhayr Fakhar! Both Merit and Zuhayr are wonderful role models.  They truly exemplify what it means to be MJS Leaders of the month.   Both Merit and Zuhayr are very conscientious students with an unbelievable work ethic.  They have positive attitudes and always have a smile for their teachers and classmates. Way to go Merit and Zuhayr!

Team 7A is so happy to recognize the hard work of Juan Cortes Lopez. It's remarkable that Juan's arm is not tired from raising his hand ALL THE TIME...he always participates in class discussions and his insights are always spot-on.  Juan is considerate and thoughtful in all he does-- he is a great role model for others around him. Buen trabajo, Juan!

We also would like to recognize the hard work of George Morgan.  George enters each classroom with a smile and an up-beat, can-do attitude.  He takes his work seriously and cares about his growth. George is comfortable sharing his ideas in both small group and whole-class discussions.

Congratulations to Atharva Aiyer & Ellie Morrison for being team 7Bs leaders of the September!  Both students are the ultimate role models in class! They participate constantly in class discussions. They are respectful, focused, diligent,  and just super positive students.  They are true rock stars in every sense of the term.

Congratulations to Avnee Arora and Joshua Gomez for being team 8A’s first leaders of the month this year. Both students are starting off the school year strong. They’re hard working and dedicated students. They model smart decision making in preparing for their classes. They are also incredibly kind and respectful toward their teachers and peers. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Oliver Boghian and Cecilia Mariani, both exemplifying responsibility and dedication in academics. Their respectful and personable demeanor makes them a joy to work with, always ready to support and collaborate with their peers. They actively engage in discussions, providing insightful comments that enhance the learning experience for everyone. Kudos to Oliver and Cecilia for being such positive and engaged participants in their academic journey!
