No Source Projector

Clock King uses both his laptop and document camera to display content. He has his computer plugged into his projector via one VGA port and turned the projector on. The projector is not projecting his computer display, but shows that it is set to the VGA source. Using F.L.I.P., help Clock King solve his dilemma.

First restart device.

Although this may not be this issue, it's always nice to start fresh.

Look at lights and cables.

The projector lights should not be the issue. It is evident that the power is on and projecting light (to give the blue screen). Check the HDMI adaptor and/or VGA cable to make sure they are securely plugged in to a port on the computer and on the projector.

Investigate settings and alternate options.

If the projector is showing signs of life and all cables seem to be securely connected, the projector may not be on the right source. Use the button on the projector or the remote to change the source until what is on the computer screen appears on the projector.

Put in Incident.

If the problem persists, go to LCPSGO and submit Incident via LANDesk Service Desk.
