The EASTERN formal registration process has officially begun!
Registration Window: January 2026 (TBD) — March 2026 (TBD)
The registration process is TWO-FOLD and requires:
1: The online Registration Form (link below) is created and hosted by the EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology. Students must use their full legal name and indicate their first and second program choices. You will not receive greater consideration for your first-choice program if you list it two times, AND you will not be considered for a second program if you do not list one in your initial registration.
2. CareerScope Interest Inventory: a program hosted by the EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology that is made available to our EASTERN registrants. Once your registration form has been submitted, you will receive a link via your LMTSD email to access the Career Scope (24-48 hours later), and you will be guided to complete its two (2) required sections.
Things to know and consider moving forward:
~Registration closed March 2026 (exact date TBD in January)
~Registration is not complete until both the registration form and the CareerScope (two parts) are complete.
~Registration does not guarantee placement within one of EASTERN's programs.
~Due to the highly competitive nature of ALL EASTERN programs, placement into one of EASTERN's programs is taken very seriously and with heavy consideration across local home districts and the EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology's enrollment committee. Since program curricula are strenuous and programmed to mirror strict industry standards, students must adhere to strict standards of consistent attendance, conduct, and grade-level performance.
~Placement within an ECAT program is reviewed, and considerations are made based on availability for placement across the various 6+ attending school districts in mind.
~Final placement determinations are made by the EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology from March—April.
~Final placement notifications are released to local home districts by the start of May.
There will be an Open House will be held in early 2026 for all students interested in investigating the Eastern Center for Arts & Technology programming opportunities.
Please contact Mrs. Romano with any questions. Thank you!

Each December, LMHS counselors coordinate with Eastern staff to bring the annual Career Expo to sophomores at LMHS. After the Career Expo, students who express interest in attending any of Eastern's programs during their junior or senior year are then provided the opportunity to attend an open house to further explore the possibilities. Students who attend Eastern programs work directly with their LM School Counselor on scheduling.

ECAT Additional Information
EASTERN is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The campus is located in Willow Grove and is owned by nine school districts in Eastern Montgomery County. They include Abington, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Hatboro-Horsham, Jenkintown, Lower Moreland, Springfield, Upper Dublin, and Upper Moreland.
More information about EASTERN is available at www.eastech.org.
Currently, there are seventeen (17) programs available at EASTERN. Programs generally require a two-year commitment, except Allied Health, which runs for one year. Each year of ECAT programming is considered part of the high school program and counts as three (3) elective credits toward graduation. Each program is designed to run in the AM sessions for our Lower Moreland students. Students return to the high school to continue with the rest of their later morning/afternoon programming on LMHS's campus.
Programs enrich the students’ high school experience. They allow students to reinforce their career path after high school, get a head start in collegiate studies in that field, and get ready for employment. Most of the half-day programs offer advanced placement college credit opportunities for students continuing their education after high school in similar majors.
Career programs are scheduled 5 days a week for 2 hours and 45 minutes from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. These 17 career areas are offered to 11th and 12th-grade students. They are recommended as a two-year sequence for students, except Allied Health, which is a senior-only option. If space is available, one-year seniors are accepted into all programs.
A work experience program is available to qualify second-year students, incorporating on-site job experiences with classroom learning.
Many programs offer advanced placement/college credit options at colleges like DeVry University, Johnson & Wales University, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Lincoln Technical Institute, CHI, Harcum College, and Bucks and Montgomery County Community Colleges.
EASTERN students may qualify for up to 9 free college credits through Perkins statewide articulation agreements. All statewide articulation agreements can be found at here.
Students/parents will be solely responsible for tuition and fees for MCCC dual enrollment.
Please note that there are course material fees for tools of the trade and required clothing related to several programs. Families with financial needs should contact Amy Shields, 215-784-4806, or Joe Greb at 215-784-4800 Ext. 110.
Information regarding individual programs and coursework is available in the high school Program of Studies.
