Students must meet all the requirements set forth by New York State, including passing all Regents Examinations, and the requirements of the Liverpool School District to successfully graduate from high school. Students must earn a minimum of 22 credits in designated courses; these requirements are outlined below.

Students who complete all course work and testing requirements for the Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, and who pass with a score of 85 or better, three commencement level Regents examinations in mathematics and/or three commencement level Regents examination in science, will earn a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, with an annotation on the diploma that denotes mastery in mathematics and/or science, as applicable.
Students have an opportunity to earn a CTE seal of endorsement on their diploma. To qualify, students must complete a minimum five-ˇ‐credit series of approved CTE courses at LHS or BOCES and pass an associated technical assessment.
The Seal of Civic Readiness is a formal recognition that a student has attained a high level of proficiency in terms of civic knowledge, civic skills, civic mindset, and civic experiences. Students need to earn a total of six points, with at least two points earned in Civic Knowledge, and two points earned in Civic Participation.
The NYS Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English. Students may earn this during their senior year.
For students with disabilities only, as determined by the Liverpool High School Committee on Special Education.
Career Development and Occupational Studies Commencement Credential/CDOS (not a diploma) is for students with disabilities who are not assessed using the New York State Alternative Assessment.
Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential/NYSSACC (not a diploma) is for students with disabilities who are assessed using the New York State Alternative Assessment.
