Final Mentor Meetings
"It has been so exciting to watch Arthur engage so thoughtfully in his lines of inquiry regarding the positive and negative impacts of electricity accessibility. His research, which focuses on the why, what, and how of providing electricity to people all over the world, seeks to also address global issues such as social justice, climate change, and access to health care. Keep up the great work, Arthur. It has been a pleasure learning alongside you."
-Mr Jonah (Arthur's Mentor)
"I love working with Carlo in his PYP Exhibition. He works hard and is passionate about designs and architecture. I learned a lot about sustainable homes with him."
-Mr Perico (Carlo's Mentor)
"Martim has such great passion and immense curiosity about his research topic! He always brings interesting information to each of our meetings!"
-Ms B (Martim's Mentor)
Year 11 Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) Projects
Year 6 students visited the Year 11 presentations for their CAS projects. It was inspiring and helpful to see how the Year 11's presented. We noticed things about their presentations that we liked and wanted to do ourselves ad also some things that we learned we wanted to do differently. It was also really informative to see how students have taken action in different ways, helping Year 6 to see how they might take action in the future too.
Art Projects
Students are gradually completing their art projects ready to display during the exhibition staging next week! Students have been planning and creating their artworks with their audience in mind, thinking about the effect it will have on them and what message their artwork communicates . We don't want to give them all away now, but here are a couple that are already complete - a sneak preview!
ONLINE STAGING of the Exhibition
The day finally arrived where students were able to present their exhibition to the wider community! Students worked extremely hard all week to synthesise their learning into one online presentation. They presented to parents, staff, teachers, family members and students combined! They were able to demonstrate exceptional digital literacy skills, including google slides and Zoom. Everyone was very proud!
Opening Ceremony Rehearsals
This busy week was also filled with rehearsals for our opening ceremony extravaganza!! Again we don't want to give it all away but here are some photos from our rehearsals and a snippet of our song!
