Are you having difficulty reaching your patient to schedule a visit? Please try the following tips and tricks that we have found to work on our end when trying to reach a patient for scheduling:
Time of day: Try calling the patient at different times of the day. If you call in the morning, also try in the evening
Dialing 3 times in a row before leaving a voicemail
Some patients may have a hard time getting to the phone on your first call - give them time to get to it or patient may be hard of hearing and doesn’t hear the first call
Some patients may think that your call is a scam call and might not pick up right away
Texting immediately after calling
Other disciplines: If you notice that another therapist is on the case and is completing visits, reach out to them to see the best way to reach the patient or if they can assist with scheduling on their next visit.
For Lifespan clinicians, their phone number should be located on the Patient Record
If the other discipline is from the agency, please add a Communication Note to EMR ASAP so that we can try to help
