Signatures are an important aspect of healthcare. Without a patient's signature, treatment cannot be conducted and agencies cannot bill for services.
So what happens when you cannot obtain a signature due to data issues? Sign or initial for the patient and you're done - right? Wrong! As we all know from Fraud and Abuse in-services, signing for patient's is forgery which is a crime.
Luckily for the most part Southern California is covered by mobile data, especially in the locations where patients live. However, there may be times where you simply cannot connect to the internet in order to obtain signatures. Those of you treating patients in remote areas may especially be affected. This is where TherapySync's offline app, TherapySync Mobile is best used.
Rather than submitting paper route sheets, which are messy, delayed, and do not allow for geolocation tracking (proving you were at a patient's home and thus providing you with an additional element of protection if there is a dispute) you can obtain offline signatures using the TherapySync Mobile app.
