The Milan Cathedral is the most important religious building in the city as well as its symbol because of its huge dimension and its style. Its white color sometimes is hidden by the thick fog of Milan but the gold statue on the top of the spire is always visible. It was the tallest building of the city until the end of the second world war and now it is ranked fourth among the biggest churches in the world. It is the pride of the city, it is the center where everything was born.
