Year 3 have been buzzing with activity! In maths, they've become data detectives, learning all about pictograms, bar graphs and tally charts. They've been putting their skills to the test by creating their own charts – what a fantastic way to learn! In R.E we discussed how Eid is celebrated and we created our very own New Moon pictures. In Art we have been learning about the artist Frances Hatch and how she uses natural resources to create her artwork. In English, we've dived into the magical world of A Midsummer Night's Dream (a special version for young readers, of course!).The children have been giggling at the mischief caused by the fairies, especially the arguments between Titania and Oberon! Finally, history has taken us back in time to explore the mighty Romans. Year 3 is curious to learn why the Romans decided to invade Britain – stay tuned for their exciting discoveries!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - Next week we will begin our fractions topic looking at equivalent fractions.
Writing - In English we will be writing our balanced argument to discuss whether Oberon was right or wrong to put a spell on his wife.
History - We will be looking at how Britons reacted to the Romans invading Britain. .
Science - In Science we have been setting up our own investigation to see what happens to plants when they do not have any air. We will also be investigating what happens when we over water plants.
