The Nursery children have come back from the Easter break and settled back into Nursery life well. They have enjoyed sharing their holiday news with the rest of the class, continuing to build upon their communication and language skills. 

In Phonics we have been looking at the letter 'v' and learning about words that begin with that sound, such as 'vet', 'van' and 'volcano'. In Maths we have been working on recognising and extending repeating patterns. We were even able to make up some of our own patterns!

Our focus book this week in Nursery has been 'Jasper's Beanstalk' by Nick Butterworth. We have been painting our own beanstalks and making versions of Jasper the cat out of paper plates.

We have enjoyed planting seeds in the garden and have been learning about the lifecycle of a flower / plant.
