RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOLS - UNICEF

Each week, a child in each class will be rewarded with a certificate for their efforts to contribute to one of the articles in our charter.

At Brookfield we continue our journey to achieve our Rights Respecting Schools Gold Award and children will continue learning about the rights of the child.

This week we have been thinking of article 23:

Article 23 (International Day of People with Disabilities)

Every child has the right to a special education if they have a disability. A child with a disability has the right to live a full and decent life with dignity and, as far as possible, independence and to play an active part in the community. Governments must do all they can to support disabled children and their families.
