December Scholarships

The Scholarships below have a deadline of December 2023. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Ms. Arnold (counseling office) or Ms. Kullman (Library). 


Students who demonstrate superior academic ability, creative and original thinking, involvement in school or community activities, and proven leadership can apply for a Queen’s major admission award.  

Up to 100 prestigious awards valued from $80,000 to $100,000 for top students studying Engineering, Technology, Science and Math (Not medical, nor political). This scholarship was won by an ND grad last year!

This fellowship is aimed at providing 20-30 individuals up to $100,000 over two years to work on creating new technologies. This fellowship has no affiliation with post-secondary schooling.

This award is in memory of Dalton Camp, a distinguished commentator on Canadian public affairs.

Any Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada, regardless of age, student or professional status. 

Scholarships for youth who have faced adversity in their lives and demonstrated tenacity. Financial need is also a requirement.

This award can be up to $40,000 for books/tuition for an undergraduate degree or equivalent.


The Rubincam Youth Writing Competition was established in 1986 to honor Milton Rubincam, CG, FASG, FNGS, for his many years of service to the National Genealogical Society and to the field of genealogy. These awards encourage and recognize our youth as the next generation of family historians.

Through the Burger King Scholars Program, we have awarded nearly $55 million to over 45,000 students across North America since 2000. Our goal is to grant one scholarship for every BK restaurant in North America –that translates to more than $7 million each year! 


Due Date: December 15, 2023, only 50,000 applications are accepted. Opens October 16th. 

Nathan Alexander Bursary

Young musicians between the ages of 10-25,  who have been playing their instrument for more than 1 year, and take their craft extremely seriously.  Applicants should be writing their own music (or want to eventually), and be considering forming a band and/or performing music live to audiences.  Applicants can, and may be presently, struggling financially to be able to afford the necessary gear or financial resources to fulfill their musical goals.  The potential winner need not be enrolled in school if school age, or have any training or lessons taken beforehand.  Monies awarded are dispersed only for credit for gear, lessons, or for recording.
