February Scholarships

Due: February 15, 2026

Cmolik Foundation awards scholarships to youth who have faced adversity in their lives and demonstrated tenacity.  Financial need is also required.

UVic offers two main types of centrally-administered entrance scholarships for students entering a full-time undergraduate degree program: entrance scholarships based on admission average and entrance scholarships based on admission average and other criteria (application required) 

Due Date: February 15, 2026

Requirements:

a. Be a BCGEU member in good standing,

 immediate relative of current, retired or

 deceased BCGEU member and staff. Eligible 

 relatives include spouses, parents, children 

 or grandchildren (including foster, adopted, 

 step children and step grandchildren).

b. Applicants must be a student or prospective student to post-secondary or higher learning. They must be enrolled, registered or planning  to attend an eligible educational institution in the year the scholarship is to be awarded.  Full-time and part-time students are eligible.

c. Eligible educational institutions must be

 designated by Employment and Social

 Development Canada (ESDC).

d. Applicants must complete the application by  the established due date, as advertised in

 promotional materials and on our website.

 No late applications will be considered.

e. Applicants are limited to one application per  year. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.

Eligibilty:

Women, aged 16-19 on 1st April each year, living in a Zonta district or who are citizens of a Zonta country, who demonstrate evidence of the following, are eligible to apply.

• Active commitment to volunteerism.

• Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).

• Volunteer leadership achievements.

• Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.

• Support in Zonta International's mission of building a better world for women and girls.

NDSS can nominate 4 Canadian students + 1 International student. If you are interested in a nomination please let Ms. Arnold know by February 1st.
