Glory Days

Glory Days Grill is a rite of passage.

At least for highschoolers it is. Yes, Glory Days Grill is like the restaurant seen in the movies, just a kick back place everyone loves. I'm glad I get to have that experience.

On Friday night, after the champe football game my friends and I headed to Glory Days as usual. We got in around 8:40 p.m. and got seated at about 8:50 p.m. which is actually really good for Friday after a game. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostesses.

After about five minutes our waiter came to us. He came to take our drink orders. I took a look at the after 9:00 p.m. menu and realized there had been a price change. Instead of the foods being in categories ranged from $4,$5,$6, they were all $6 now. I usually used to order the Buffalo Chicken Dip with Chips and a half order of Cheese Fries or mix it up a bit, but now I only order the Boneless Glory Wings, so that I don't spend too much. Seeing the price hiked up was kind of upsetting because before you could depend on Glory Days to be on the more affordable side, especially for high schoolers.

On the other hand, the waiter actually recognized us and pulled up a chair and talked to us for a bit. We conversed on how school was going and just some small talk in general. This was actually very pleasing, it's nice to be familiar with the people working there, this gave the opportunity to establish a new relationship. After he went back to work, it took awhile before we saw our beverages. Within another 20 minutes our food was served to us, again, for a Friday night the wait time was actually superb.

My Boneless Glory Wings came out very hot and even though I ordered an eight count I got an extra one. They tasted quite divine, the wings were very saucy and overall just rang with flavor. What elevated my experience even higher was the ranch that came with the wings. Glory Days Grill has this original ranch they use that is compatible with whatever it is served with for the most part. The hot wings and the cool ranch gave off this perfect fire and ice feel.

You can find wings anywhere, but Glory Days wings are made with a sensation of love.

Our waiter came around once or twice more because the restaurant got even more crowded. At one point he only brought one glass of water to a table of five that all needed refills. Although the service was just okay, the waiter was very friendly and knew how to bond with us. Which overall made up for it.

When it was time for checks, the waiter had split the bills according to the person and what they ordered which was great, because often times it gets confused. The receipt even gives you the suggested tip based off your amount, also helpful. When we were leaving we got a farewell. Glory Days Grill never lacks in making you feel at home.
