Welcome Back Dig-It

Breaking News - 19 September 2820

Industrial powerhouse Millennium Global just announced the recovery of their long lost mining bot DIG-IT.

DIG-IT originally became famous as the first autonomous mining robot which mined the asteroid Ryugu in the 21st century.

A gas explosion on the asteroid knocked out communications and over 1.2 billion dollars (an old Earth currency) was crowd-funded to rescue the bot.

DIG-IT was rescued but that wasn't the end of DIG-IT's difficulties. 500 years later DIG-IT mysteriously disappeared from its museum exhibit on Tau.

Not a single clue or trace was left behind.

Just a few hours ago, while scanning an uncharted planet, a Millenium Global survey crew found DIG-IT on the surface happily mining ore. It had amassed over 17 billion tons of various ores including iron, nickel, copper, and platinum.

No one can say how DIG-IT got there or how it was still functioning after all this time, but we're all happy to see this wonderful robot returned home.
