Last Frontier takes place in the colony of New Paradiso which is a small town on the planet Durango III in galactic sector 6. Because of Durango III's orbital pattern it sometimes drifts partially into Sector 5.
As far as all official records are concerned New Paradiso is the first and only colony on Durango III, however if you speak to some of the colonists who live there you might hear a different story.
