Assistant Head for Wellbeing
Mr Payne is our Assistant Head for Safeguarding and Wellbeing. He has strategic oversight of the safeguarding and wellbeing teams within the school and works with the Head of Therapies to develop and manage the wellbeing support within our specialist setting.
Mr Payne is also the school's Senior Mental Health Lead and liaises with our Wellbeing Caseworkers.
Head of Therapies
Mr Deslandes is our Head of Therapies and works directly with our Therapy Team.
He currently oversees the Balanced System and is responsible for ensuring that our therapeutic support targets the right children at the right time.
Mr Deslandes is also a qualified social worker and offers invaluable advice to the safeguarding team.
Wellbeing Resource Manager
Mrs Minter is our Wellbeing Resources Manager and plays a core role in safeguarding, medical administration and overseeing all of our staff in the Wellbeing Team.
Mrs Minter is a maestro of coordination and is integral to the targeted and specialist support we offer to all children, ensuring our resources are managed effectively so we can meet our goals.
Learning Support
Miss Bober is our Learning Support Coordinator and Lead Thrive Practitioner.
She oversees our Learning Support Suite (LSS) and targeted interventions. The LSS is a space which our children can access when they are struggling to cope in class. The LSS always has a member of the Wellbeing Team available to support children with their work.
Personal Development
Miss Wainwright is our Personal Development coordinator and supports with the planning and delivery of Personal Development Sessions to help our chidren meet their EHCP targets.
As part of this work, she has helped the school develop spaces in our Phoenix Building where children can learn vital life and vocational skills.
Wellbeing & EBSNA
Miss Price is our Wellbeing Coordinator. She is vastly experienced in supporting children with Emotional Based School Non-Attendance and works closely with our children who struggle to attend.
Although she is one of the newest members in our team, her expertise have had an incredible impact on the support we can give to children.
Wellbeing & Attendence
Miss Marsh is our Wellbeing and Attendance Officer and works closely with Miss Price, Mr Payne and Mrs Jones to support children who are struggling to attend school.
Lead Wellbeing Caseworker
Mrs Shuter is our Lead Wellbeing Caseworker and Mental Health First Aid Trainer.
Mrs Shuter uses helps our children approach problems with a positive coaching model.
Wellbeing Caseworker
Mr Chhanabhai is our supporting Wellbeing Caseworker and has some training in counselling. He uses the same approach to supporting our children as Mrs Shuter, but also delivers a range of targeted interventions including anger management and bereavement.
Speech and Language Therapy Support
Miss Wilford delivers Speech and Language Therapy Support and works closely with the Speech and Language Therapists at Laleham Gap. She delivers targeted, front-line screening and interventions to our students, which is overseen by the specialist therapists.
Forrest School Leader
Miss Russell is our Forest School leader and is a Sheep Ahoy volunteer. She is happiest when supporting children with their practical skills outdoors.
Wellbeing Staff
Mrs Lambert is a long serving TA in the Wellbeing Team and heavily supports Challenger Troop and children on vocational courses. She brings a wealth of skill and experience to the team.

Mrs Sullivan is our Safeguaring Administrator and plays a key role in supporting wellbeing meetings, EHCP and medical administration. She brings a wealth of administration skill and experience to our team.
