You are now on the Laleham Gap Wellbeing and Therapies Site.
At Laleham Gap School, Art Therapy offers pupils a creative and therapeutic space to explore emotions, build resilience, and support mental wellbeing. Led by a qualified Art Therapist with psychodynamic training from the Anna Freud Centre, sessions are tailored to meet the emotional and developmental needs of each child.
Art Therapy uses creative expression—such as drawing, painting, and sculpture—as a way for pupils to communicate thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to express verbally. It can help with:
Emotional regulation
Self-esteem and confidence
Processing trauma or anxiety
Strengthening relationships and social skills
Our therapist works closely with pupils, families, and staff to ensure a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where children can grow emotionally and psychologically.
