This social and emotional learning programme provides structured sessions focusing on themes such as anxiety, resilience, diversity, anger, change, friendship, conflict, loss, sadness, and self-esteem. It aims to enhance children's emotional literacy and mental health through creative activities and discussions. Each topic runs as a 10 week intervention.

An evidence-based intervention that is backed by neuroscience to support children's emotional and social development by helping them understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy relationships.

This intervention involves one-on-one sessions where students engage in positive coaching and solution-focused discussions to address personal challenges and develop coping strategies. This is run by our experienced and highly trained Wellbeing Caseworkers.
Designed to help students with sensory processing difficulties, these workshops provide activities that promote self-regulation, improve sensory integration, aiding concentration and learning.
A therapeutic storytelling approach that helps children process and communicate their experiences, promoting emotional healing and resilience.
The Pets As Therapy (PAT) Dog program introduces trained therapy dogs into the school environment, providing comfort, reducing anxiety, and enhancing social interaction among students.

At Laleham Gap, we value learning outside of the classroom and we offer Forest School opportunies at Willowbanks as part of our curriculum. When children need additional support, we also have an on-site forest school provision we have named 'Kestrel View' that is delivered as interventions too.
A unique outdoor programme that uses interactions with sheep to teach responsibility, empathy, and teamwork, fostering students' social and emotional growth.
A therapeutic method where students express their feelings through drawing, facilitating emotional release and self-awareness. These interventions are delivered by staff specially trained in facilitating this type of support.
LEGO® Therapy is a fun and structured group intervention that helps children develop important social and communication skills through collaborative play. In each session, children work together to build LEGO models, taking on different roles such as builder, supplier, and engineer. This encourages teamwork, listening, turn-taking, and problem-solving in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Combining physical activity with conversation is a research proven way to help children calm and engage. This intervention encourages students to discuss their thoughts and feelings in a relaxed outdoor setting, promoting mental and physical wellbeing.
