You are now on the Laleham Gap Wellbeing and Therapies Site.
At Laleham Gap School, our Forest School - Kestrel View - offers a unique, child-centred learning experience that supports emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and therapeutic development.
Forest School is more than outdoor education; it’s a process that encourages pupils to explore, take supported risks, and build resilience in a safe and nurturing environment. Through hands-on experiences in nature, pupils develop confidence, self-esteem, and a deeper connection to the world around them.
Every pupil, from Primary through to Post-16, is given the opportunity to participate in Forest School sessions. These sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and tailored to the needs and interests of each learner.
Activities at Kestrel View include:
🔥 Learning to manage a campfire safely and cooking outdoors
🪵 Woodwork and forest crafts
🏕️ Den building and imaginative play
🧭 Nature exploration and environmental learning
🎯 Group games that foster teamwork and social skills
✨ Fire-lighting with flint and steel—building independence and resilience
Forest School is a space where pupils can thrive emotionally, socially, and physically. It’s a place to grow, connect, and discover—one spark, one leaf, one moment at a time.
