You are now on the Laleham Gap Wellbeing and Therapies Site.
At Laleham Gap, we want the parents, carers and families to feel informed and supported. To support this, we host a range of parent focussed events each year, such as our parent coffee mornings. This is an opportunity to come and speak with us and find out more about what we do.
This academic year, we have also been taking part in the Leading Parent Partnership Award to help us enhance the quality of what we provide. We are grateful to all of the parents who have supported us with feedback around how we engage with you and our services, and we are looking forward to using this information to build upon what we already offer.
Below, you will find more information and resources about the support we offer in school and how we work with outside agencies. Our 'Outside Agencies' page is also useful for identifying who else may be able to help you, especially if you need support in the school holidays.
In Spring 2025, we hosted our first Family Thrive Course. This was a real success and we are planning more sessions for future cohorts. Family Thrive helps parents and carers understand the The Thrive Approach and why it is essential in our school. It also equips parents and carers with strategies, knowledge and skills they need to feel confident in supporting their children's needs.
Family Thrive is a 6 week course. If you feel you would benefit from taking part, please speak with us to register your interest or find out more.

Hamish & Milo is a therapeutic programme designed to help children understand and manage their emotions in a safe, supportive environment. Created by a clinical psychologist and backed by research from the University of Bath, this approach uses engaging stories, creative activities, and group discussions to help children explore key emotional themes such as friendship, resilience, anxiety, anger, and self-esteem.
The programme is built on evidence-based practices and is used in schools across the UK to support children’s social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). It helps children develop emotional literacy, build confidence, and form healthier relationships. We plan to support parents through the Families Together programme in the near future, which offers practical tools and insights to help you understand and support your child’s emotional journey at home. Together, we can help children feel heard, valued, and emotionally equipped to thrive.
You can find all of our Hamish and Milo information leaflets and parent resources here.
