You are now on the Laleham Gap Wellbeing and Therapies Site.
At Laleham Gap School, Play Therapy is used to support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and mental health. It provides a safe, child-led space where pupils can express themselves through play—using toys, art, stories, and role-play to explore feelings and experiences they may find difficult to put into words.
Play Therapy helps children:
Build self-esteem and confidence
Develop emotional regulation
Improve social skills and relationships
Process trauma, anxiety, or loss
Strengthen resilience and coping strategies
Our trained Play Therapist works closely with pupils, families, and staff to ensure the support is tailored to each child’s needs. Sessions are confidential, nurturing, and designed to help children feel heard, understood, and empowered.
