Get Microsoft365@Kyoto-U Outlook ready for KUMail by following the steps below.
If you already have other accounts in Microsoft365@Kyoto-U Outlook, be sure to add KUMail as a new, separate account to prevent trouble.
*We use the version for Windows 11 in the explanation.
1. Open Outlook (not “Outlook (new)”) ,
enter your KUMail address (~@kyoto-u.ac.jp) , and click "Connect".
Note:
If you already have an account set up,
click File > Add account in the menu bar.
2. Sign in with your SPS-ID and password.
After you click Login,
you'll be asked to authenticate with a second factor.

3. Click on your KUMail address (~@kyoto-u.ac.jp).
4. Click “Continue”.
5.Check the “Read,compose,send, and permanently delete all your
email from Gmail.” box, and click “Continue".
6. The browser open with the message “Authentication is complete.~”, and close browser (or browser tab).
7. Uncheck Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too and click "OK".
Microsoft365@Kyoto-U Outlook is now ready for KUMail.
Note:
When you set up for the first time, it may take some time for Mail to retrieve your messages. Don't close the window until it's over.
If you want to change your sender address (From address), you must add it to the web version of Gmail in advance.
