Read emails marked as spam

KUMail (Gmail) automatically identifies suspicious messages and move them to Spam. This page explains how to read those messages.

Note: Messages in Spam and Trash are automatically deleted after they stay in there for 30 days. Make sure to open Spam regularly so that you won't miss some messages that are mistakenly marked as spam. Since what kind of criteria Gmail uses to detect spam is not disclosed due to security reasons, we cannot answer why some of your messages are identified as spam.

1. In KUMail, Spam label is hidden by default. Click More to find it.

2. Click on the Spam label and drag it up above Less.

3. Spam is now constantly displayed on the menu. It is also recommended that you drag All Mail up in the same way.

Note: All Mail contains all messages you sent and received.

4. When a message is marked as spam, it's moved to Spam and the number of spam messages appears.

Click Spam to see the message.

5. Open the email, and if it's actually spam, click Delete forever. If it's not, click Not spam.
