I created a short instructional video called "Check Before You Click" about how to avoid clicking on malicious urls.
My project demonstrates the Level 2: Insight mastery of the B1 NSQ standard. I used a variety of digital tools to create my instructional video. I created the illustrations and graphics in Canva. I used QuickTime to record my screen while I demonstrated the lesson. I imported that video into Canva, and used the 'present' mode to record my voice over. I then used YouTube to caption the video. It was quite a process!
All of these tools are not completely new to me, but I still relied on outside tutorials and help docs to create my project. The tools I used support communication of the lesson by combining a visual demonstration with narrated instruction. They also support productivity and interaction, as the the skills demonstrated can be implemented immediately. I think the project would benefit by the addition of an interactive task where the user could practice what was demonstrated in the video.
I think the narration was much more difficult than I had imagined. I found it very difficult to speak clearly and naturally. I need more practice on communication, presentation, and content delivery.
