I homeschooled my child from 3-5th grade. Part of that time we attended a hybrid program at a charter school, which allowed students to attend a multi-grade classroom two days a week, and homeschool the rest of the week. We had a great teacher who supervised us. I created a spreadsheet to share resources with the entire homeschool community of K-8 learners.
My Homeschool Resource List demonstrates a Level 3: Implementation mastery of the D7 NSQ standard. The project was designed to communicate learner resources and supports with stakeholders. In this case the stakeholders were the homeschooling community and the supervising teachers for each grade. The learner supports consisted of resource recommendations, curriculum, tutors, activity ideas, camps, and more.
I created a detailed Google Spreadsheet to be shared by the entire homeschool community, not just my child's class. I designed it carefully, making sure to include instructions and examples for ease of use. I continued to monitor and maintain the spreadsheet to keep everything legible. It continued to be used for several years after we left the program.
I was able to independently create a complex Google Spreadsheet to hold and share all of this information. I have lots of experience using spreadsheets and organizing information, and I am comfortable doing this on my own.
I think I also touched on the A4 NSQ standard: The online teacher serves as an ambassador of knowledge to stakeholders because I took the initiative to create this resource and share it with the community.
