End All FORMS Of Discrimination Against LGBTQIA+ And Gender-Diverse Persons

We recommend that ASEAN member states:

1. Adopt evidence and rights-based approaches in ending all forms of discrimination faced by LGBTQIA and gender-diverse people.

2. Implement the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC), related Universal Periodic Review and treaty body recommendations.

3. Strengthen learning and sharing of good practices among ASEAN Member States to increase LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

4. Introduce a comprehensive anti-discrimination law to protect LGBTQIA and gender-diverse people from discrimination and violence.

5. Achieve the global commitment to end AIDS by 2030 through sustainable resources and addressing barriers to healthcare access for affected populations, including GBQ men, sex workers, and people who use substances.
