Neikens Hill

First Latvian Song festival was held in rectory, next to Neiken Hill, in the summer of 1864. Organizer of the festival was Juris Neikens, who was well-known priest, literate, teacher, education organizer. As the years passed by, the meaning of this celebration rose and the celebration became to First Latvian Singing Festival, which was held in 1873, in Rīga.

Next to Neiken Hill you can see impressive nature objects where children can play and get to know sounds on such musical instruments as xylophone, metallophone, wind instruments and bells.
