From the more prominent communications and research/writing to the behind-the-scenes editing and media design, each member of the Spectra management contributes something valuable to the publication process. This begins with the student writers, who draft articles on any STEM topic they choose. Then, the student writers’ works are repeatedly revised and improved upon by student editors and sometimes professionals of the investigated field of study. The collaborative process culminates in an article or research paper that is proudly published on the club's website and then popularized through the club's Facebook page, Spectra Publications, as sources of information available to all.
Because high school research in science and mathematics (which is accessible only through camps/programs) is underappreciated worldwide, Spectra’s vision is to encourage students’ writing in STEM and to voice their works to a global audience.
