DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is a globally recognized organization with over 225,000 members that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. KIS’s DECA chapter will help students strengthen their understanding of business and marketing while developing their interpersonal soft skills through hands-on activities like role-plays, where members must think on their feet to solve real-world challenges in their chosen field. Beyond deepening our understanding of business, students may have the opportunity to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference competition in the United States. Whether you’re a business/entrepreneurship enthusiast or just looking to develop your interpersonal communication skills, DECA is your chance to explore, learn, and grow with like-minded peers!
Students will enrich their business knowledge and career skills through exam prep, self-study, and role-play practices to give them a head start on their future business endeavors.
Students will enhance their leadership skills as they take on the role of a next-gen business professional in their selected pathway (Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or Hospitality and Tourism).
Students will engage in competitive events to prove their business prowess and potentially earn DECA Glass (trophies for winning at the ICDC competition in the US)
Students will eventually experience travel as a business professional as we attend the ICDC Conference, which is held in various cities in the US.
