Lending Library
The purpose of the KCCAQ Lending Library is to make materials available that will enhance the knowledge and development of Early Childhood Educators and Home Care Providers. The following rules have been established to make borrowing books/webinars and the use of materials from the KCCAQ lending library an enjoyable experience for our participants.
1. Only KCCAQ participants may borrow books and webinars, and use (in house) materials from the KCCAQ Lending Library. (Webinars are the responsibility of the participant who checks it out. The borrowing participant is the only one who will get their verification of hours certificate signed by a KCCAQ Professional Growth Advisor)
2. Items are available on first-come, first-serve basis. Participants may borrow up to 3 books for up to one month at a time.
3. A maximum of 3 webinars may be checked out per KCCAQ participant, in one fiscal year (August-April). Webinars are for individual professional growth hours purposes only and must be verified by KCCAQ Professional Growth Advisor only. (You may still check out books/webinars for personal purposes without obtaining professional development hours).
4. Materials need to be returned by their due dates (one month after checkout) in order to give other participants an opportunity to use them.
5. Broken and/or ripped, damaged and/or missing materials, other than from normal wear and tear, must be paid for by the participant.
6. In the event that materials are not returned, the participant is accountable:
a. Pay the full cost (including shipping, handling and postage)
b. Pay for the repair of the item
c. Replace the item
*Participants will receive a phone call, or email if they have overdue or missing items. If the items are not returned an invoice will be sent by mail. Overdue items must be returned and the missing items paid/replaced before other items can be checked out. If an item is not returned, paid, repaired or replaced the participant will lose privileges (such as registering for events, and/or participate in any KCCAQ training or workshop) and will be denied from the lending library and potentially participation in the KCCAQ program.
7. The KCCAQ personnel reserves the right to terminate or suspend borrowing privileges of anyone who repeatedly violates these rules.
