In all of our trainings/events we have “Cell Phone Free Zone” we kindly ask you to silent your cell phone and take calls in the lobby or outside. Please do not take calls in the hallways due to voice carrying into room.
1. It is YOUR responsibility to check OMS the day before an event for any changes made to the event/training. Confirmation for the event/training you registered for will be made at least 2 days prior. With the exception that your attendance has not yet been confirmed for a previous training, then you will possibly be notified the day before.
2. You will need to notify us within 24 hours if you are not going to be able to make it to an event. Failure to do so, will result in you being placed on the waiting list for upcoming trainings No Exceptions. To be taken off the waiting list, you must show up to the next training you have registered for regardless if you have the opportunity to attend.
3. If you are more than 5 minutes late to an event with a waiting list, you will not be able to participate and your spot will be given to the first person waiting.
4. Trainings that have a fee, you will be allowed a 30 minute grace period. After the grace period ends, you will not be able to enter the training/workshop. We want to be respectful to the presenters and the other participants. (Refunds will not be given)
If you request assistance with uploading documentation, using or checking out lending library materials or any other service requiring more than dropping off or picking up, you will need to schedule an appointment ahead of time. If you come in as a walk in, we may not be able to serve you due to workload obligations.
If you are unable to attend an appointment set up by our program, it is your responsibility to reschedule the appointment. If you, the participant, cancels the rescheduled appointment, we will only meet with you at our discretion thereafter.
These categories will be used by participants when they are registering on OMS for trainings/workshops. In the Event Title/Description, see under intended audience to find out if the training/workshop will pertain to you.
QRIS- Participants who work in a state funded classroom that participates in the Quality Rating and Improvement System.
AB212-Participants who work in a state funded program.
Center Based (CB)- Participants who work at a Child Care Center that is private or NOT state funded.
Family Child Care (FCC)- Participants who have a licensed Child Care Center in their home.
Community (Comm)- Anyone who is not a participant.
ECE Support Staff (SS)- Anyone who indirectly works with children at a child care facility.
Conditional Status- Participants who did not complete the requirement from the previous year of 10 hour of professional growth through KCCAQ. In order to be taken off conditional status participant needs to complete 10 hours for last year PLUS 10 hours for this year, total of 20 hours.
