Teacher Reviews and Objectives

Every teacher has an annual review (appraisal) during which they reflect on the past year. Your review should include:

Setting and reviewing objectives
Reflection and feedback
Reviewing and planning for training and development needs (both mandated training and CPD)
Checking in on your wellbeing and workload

Colleagues should know in advance when the review is going to happen so that they can prepare for it.

UPR applications and progression - eligible colleagues who would like to apply to progress through the threshold need to make an application. The form that you need to complete to make the application is here. There are two supporting documents that will help you to prepare for UPR and to set your related objectives for the year ahead. These are:

If successful in progressing through to UPR, your objectives for the year ahead will reflect your UPR contributions. These will be reviewed annually.
