We are delighted to welcome Meadow Vale to King's Group Academies (KGA).
We recognise that you and your colleagues bring enormous amounts of knowledge, experience and diversity to our Trust. We are really looking forward to continuing working with you as part of our wider community to ensure that all our children have Opportunities and Success on a Global Stage.
Now that you are part of KGA, the school will be known as King’s Academy Meadow Vale (KAMV).
KGA academies are in Berkshire, East Sussex and Hampshire. We are a mix of primary, secondary and all through academies. We pride ourselves on working collaboratively and supportively with each other to achieve our organisational aims.
Colleagues meet regularly to share and build our way of working. We also have a central team, made up of the Executive Team and specialist staff, who work across all our academies. If you would like to know more about who we are and how we work then you can visit:
A message from the CEO - Nick Cross
Dear Colleagues

Now that you are on MyKGA, why not explore everything KGA has to offer using the navigation bar? Start by checking out the results and plans from our recent All Colleague Survey on the Colleague Survey 2024 page. You can also dive into our KGA Interim Prospectus or discover what we offer in terms of development on the Teaching and Learning page. Don't worry if you are a support colleague...our dedicated Learning and Development page for you is coming soon!
In the meantime, feel free to explore the discounts available on our Benefits page. There is plenty of useful information on our intranet, which we proudly use to share exciting, fun updates (and sometimes more serious ones) with you, all wrapped up in our weekly Wednesday Wonders email. Though, before you go, check out our FAQs about the TUPE process below ⬇️.
As part of our commitment to ensuring a smooth transition during the TUPE process, we have put together some FAQ which may remove any worries or concerns you may have. Please take a moment to go through these.
If however, we have not covered your questions, we have put together a short questionnaire to give you the opportunity to share your thoughts on the transition and highlight any areas where we can provide additional support or clarification. You can find the questionnaire, here.
Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create a positive and collaborative working environment as we move forward together.
What does TUPE mean?
TUPE stands for 'Transfer of Undertakings, Protection of Employment' which is employment legislation designed to protect your rights when your employer changes. Under TUPE your current terms and conditions (your 'contract') will automatically transfer to KGA on the transfer date, which is 1st May 2024.
You might want to visit the ACAS website for more information about TUPE and your employment rights.
Will I get a new KGA contract of employment?
No, your current contract is still valid and KGA will honour its terms. Instead KGA will provide you with a letter confirming that the change of employer has happened and that your length of service (‘period of continuous employment’) transfers with you.
The only time new contracts will be issued is for colleagues taking up new positions advertised after the transfer date. Where this is an internal appointment, continuous service will still be recognised.
Will my pay change as a result of the transfer?
No, just like the rest of your terms and conditions, the TUPE transfer will not impact on your pay. Your pay will be processed by the same in-house team. You will notice that the employer name will change to KGA on your payslip and bank credit.
What happens if I leave employment and come back?
KGA will recognise continuous service whilst you are still employed. If you leave this is then 'broken'. Though if you move to an employer (such as another school) who recognise the 'modification order' then you may be able to have your service recognised with them for redundancy purposes. Speak to your new employer's HR team for their advice.
Every colleague will receive a letter to confirm the transfer of their employment to King's Group Academies.
