Boater - Years 6, 7 and 8 only (These are currently unavailable for purchase. More information will follow later in the academic year 2023 -24)
Winter Coat - School-crested windcheater
School Blazer - Navy blue with trim and school crest
Trousers - Long, grey trousers, (not charcoal) must be tailored no turn ups or jersey
Skirt - Mid-Grey, inverted pleat skirt without waistband (skirts should be no more than one inch above the knee)
Shirt - White, long sleeved (short sleeved in the summer – optional). Collars must be stiffened and without buttons
Socks - Short, if worn with trousers these should be plain grey, If worn with skirt - Year 7 and Year 8 may wear grey socks or black tights
Shoes - Traditional flat black, leather shoes. Boots or patent shoes or shoes with tassels or bars through the sides or at the front are not permitted, No slip on or black trainer-style shoes are permitted
Jumper - School Regulation Grey with School trim
Tie - School tie
Scarf - School scarf with short stripes – (optional). No other scarves are allowed
Bini Hat - A KSR ‘bini hat’ is available for purchase directly from the school
School Back Pack - School Regulation. No other bags are permitted
Hair - No colours or tints are permitted. Hair must be neat and tidy and if it is below the shoulder it must be tied up. Hair ties must be navy or black and no additional hair decorations may be worn including coloured braids, beads, ribbons and bows
Jewellery - No jewelry may be worn at the Preparatory School. Girls in Years 7 and 8 are permitted to wear small stud earrings as long as they are able to remove them for games.
Summer
Same as for winter wear except all wear white ankle socks with skirts or natural tights are acceptable for Year 7 and 8).
Midsummer Term – all pupils wear boaters.
Jacket - Pinstripe school suit jacket.
Trousers - Pinstripe school suit trousers.
Skirt - School suit skirt (to be worn no shorter than one inch above the knee)
Shirt - White stiff collared shirt, to be tucked in at all times. Pupils may choose between wearing short or long sleeves.
Jumper - Grey school jumper with trim.
Tie - School tie; representative ties may be worn with permission from the Deputies.
Shoes - Black leather flat shoes, to be clean and polished at all times; patent shoes are not allowed.
Socks - Black or grey. Other colours are not allowed.
Tights – To be worn with skirts (plain black in Michaelmas & Lent, natural in Midsummer)
Outerwear - A dark blue or black woollen overcoat or an outdoor pursuits coat, or a quilted coat or the King’s school coat. Coats may have a hood but no fur. Logos must be discreet.
School scarves and black gloves may be worn outside.
Headwear - Boaters are worn on formal occasions.
Shirt Sleeve Order (when allowed by the Deputies). Suit jackets are allowed to be removed, long shirt sleeves are to be rolled up to the elbow (or wear a short sleeve shirt), and ties are to be worn (properly) at all times.
Hair - Should be kept clean, tidy and out of the eyes. Hair that is below shoulder length should be tied back. Unnatural dyes/tints are not allowed. Hair should be no shorter than a No. 2 and sideburns must be short and well-trimmed. (CCF – hair must be worn in a way that permits the service dress cap to be worn correctly).
Faces must be clean-shaven.
Make-Up & Nails - Light concealer, to cover blemishes, may be worn. Eye-shadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, coloured or clear lip gloss or coloured balm and fake eyelashes are not permitted.
Fake tan is not permitted
Nails must be natural in colour. Extensions and acrylic nails are not permitted.
Jewellery - A single stud earring may be worn in the lobe of each ear (max. 3mm diameter). This must be removed for Games.
Bags - A plain black or navy school bag
Members of the Sixth Form are expected to attend School in professional business dress.
Suit - A plain navy blue or black suit (no pin stripe). Skirts and trousers must not be lycra or skin-tight. Denim, chino and hipster style are not permitted. Skirts are to be worn no shorter than one inch above the knee. Example from an online retailer (Marks and Spencer)

Blouse - A plain blue, plain white or blue and white pinstripe blouse with an open collar.
Jumper - A black or navy-blue V-necked jumper may be worn to match the colour of the suit.
Tie - Must be worn with Shirts. School ties only; representative ties may be worn with permission from the Deputies.

Jewellery - A single stud earring or small hoop (max 1cm) in the lobe of each ear, a single chain necklace, a ring and a bracelet. All jewellery must be removed for sporting activities.

The boarding houses have a stock of blazers, trousers and skirts as well as sports kit in house that we can lend to boarders that need them.
