Concert dress brings an element of professionalism to each performance. As music students continue with band and chorus programs after their time at KIS, they will be expected to follow concert dress codes. The earlier we start this tradition the better.
Boys: Red Music Department T-Shirt and black or dark as possible pants and shoes.
Girls: Red Music Department T-Shirt, black or dark as possible pants or skirt (please nothing above the knee) and shoes.
Concert behavior is how we act when we are on stage, off to the side waiting to perform, and when we are performing. This behavior should be the student’s very best. When students are not following appropriate concert behavior on stage during a performance it distracts the audience from the hard work of the performing group. Learning how to conduct one’s self in a performance setting makes the student a better performer.
Any student exhibiting inappropriate behavior in a performance setting will meet with their director and the Principal if needed to discuss the consequence of that behavior.
