Participation in band and chorus teaches students to sing and play an instrument. It also teaches commitment and discipline. Band and chorus are year-long courses. Individual musicians rely on the entire membership for positive results.

By choosing to participate you are agreeing to a one-year commitment of wonderful musical challenges and performances. If you choose not to participate, please think it through carefully. Many opportunities are offered through the music program, both at KIS, in the later years at KHS, and beyond. These are wonderful experiences that help foster the growth and skills of our talented students.

There are almost no circumstances where a student will be able to add or drop chorus or band in September or throughout the year. Our master school schedule is made after band and chorus are populated, therefore specials classes would be overpopulated if students chose to drop in September. We need you to engage in a serious discussion now in order to commit to a full year of instrumental/choral music.
