Chorus

Welcome to KIS Chorus!

KIS chorus is a musical ensemble for students in grades five through eight. In chorus, students learn fundamental vocal techniques such as proper breathing, posture, and vocal projection. These skills help them produce clear and resonant tones while singing.

Throughout the year, students are exposed to various musical genres ranging from classical to contemporary, including pop, jazz, and musical theater. This diversity allows students to explore different styles of music and develop versatility in their singing abilities.

In addition to singing, KIS chorus includes instruction on music theory and sight-reading, helping students become more proficient musicians. Chorus rehearsals also provide opportunities for students to collaborate with their peers, build confidence, and develop important life skills such as teamwork and discipline. Overall, middle school chorus offers a supportive and enriching environment for students to discover and nurture their passion for music.
