Reeds

The instruments in the woodwind family will need a Reed to produce their sound.  Those instruments are the Clarinet, Saxophone, and Oboe (double reed).  

All students in 5th -  8th grade who play one of these instruments need to supply their own reeds for their instrument.  As always if your family has a hardship and cannot absorb this cost please email your child's band teacher and we will support you in what every way we can.

For clarinets and saxophones we recommend RICO Reeds.  For a more seasoned player Vandoren Reeds are a level up and will create a rich and warm tone.  Check the Reed size on the flat side of your reed if you need to order more.  

You can buy reeds through Gerry's Music, any Music Store or through Amazon.  

The Music department will have some replacement reeds for ones that break during class.
