Educators in their first years in the district, regardless of prior experience, are classified under two main categories:
Beginning Educators (BEC) – Credential holders in their first 0–5 years in the field or district.
Experienced Educator Credential (EEC) holders without tenure – Those in their first 0–3 years with KRSD.
Supportive Differentiation for These Educators Includes:
Structured timelines and goal-setting meetings early in the school year (September–October) to clarify expectations and build administrative relationships.
District-prescribed learning targets and formal observation feedback to scaffold early development and establish clarity in evaluation.
More formal resource requirements, such as district-sponsored PD, peer mentoring, and administrative walkthroughs to provide consistent support and formative feedback.
Proficiency development expectations are intentionally scaffolded to help these educators become familiar with the district’s competencies and evaluation system.
Annual engagement with the full reflection-goal-evidence cycle, with more frequent administrative check-ins and feedback loops.
