FastBridge Assessment Overview
The FastBridge assessment system is an all in one assessment system that consists of computer adaptive tests, screening tests, and progress monitoring assessments and instructional plans. The computer adaptive tests (aReading and aMath) are given to students three times per year. Short reading and math screening tests are also given to all students three times per year and are administered 1-on-1. Progress monitoring assessment are given as appropriate to students as needed.
Teacher Access:
Teachers access all of the FastBridge assessments and reports from Illuminate.
Student Access:
Students access the FastBridge aReading and aMath assessments from the Illuminate Student Portal. These computer adaptive assessments will be automatically assigned and pushed out to students as appropriate. See directions here for helping students access the FastBridge computer adaptive assessments.
Note that having kids take the "FastTrack Math" or "FastTrack Reading" just means it will give them all of the required computer adaptive components of the test. In most grades, that is no different than just having them select the "aMath" or "aReading" icons.
The FastBridge 1-on-1 assessments are administered to students by a teacher. Teachers give students paper assessment pages (or oral directions) and then enter student responses and scores directly into their FastBridge site. Student computers are not used at all.
Parent Access:
Parents are not able to access the FastBridge system reports electronically. Family Reports for each student should be generated and printed by teachers and provided to students and parents after each testing cycle.
