LT 785: Research Methods in Educational Technology
DSU - Dr. Katie Anderson - Fall 2021 - 3 credits
Course Description:
Designed to develop the skills of the practitioner to be a consumer of computer-based learning research. This course covers basic and applied computer-based education research design and the interpretation statistics.
Summary:
This course really opened my eyes to action based research. I gained a better understanding of what the process entails and just how important it is to make sure your research is credible, ethically correct, and comes from reputable sources. As a result of this course, I created a bite-sized action research study regarding online safety among 4th and 5th grade learners in my school. The data was very surprising and I used it to better inform teachers and parents of the issues our children face while using social media.
