Multimedia Production

Course Description:
Students learn principles of visual design, use of sound and color, and hands-on production of text and animated resources for use in educational and training materials for the development of interactive multimedia and hypermedia lessons and presentations.
Summary:
Multimedia Production enabled me to put on my designer hat and think about creating multimedia in a completely different way. I was reminded of the importance of not only incorporating visuals and multimedia elements into my curriculum, but also making these meaningful and purposeful for my audience. Some of my key takeaways included focusing on utilizing spacing and color selection to make my designs more visually appealing. I was also able to utilize great design platforms, such as Canva, Autodraw, and Wevideo, which I now plan to incorporate into my classroom.
Canva will allow the creation of graphics and designs that can be utilized in lessons or student presentations. Autodraw will aide students and myself in creating graphics that can be easily recognized. Wevideo will be a platform used to create more engaging and involved video presentations for independent learning and delivery of content.
